It is not a service to be held, but the Calif State Assembly passed a "Memorial Resolution" recognizing Mike's contributions.  What we are looking for is a suitable meeting at which to present the proclamation, presumably to Teddy.  Mike was involved with many organizations and so I believe that a suitable place/time would be a well attended regularly scheduled meeting.  MERIT? Campo Community meeting? The San Diego County Wildlife Federation?  Perhaps even getting Diane Jacob to put on the agenda for a County Board of Supervisors meeting (which is where is was in his last moments).  Please offer suggestions.

I got a call from David Preddy (SDQU) last night.  He said an Assembly person had an idea for a Memorial for Mike and was wondering where to hold it.  He said the SDQU meeting place was too small.  He asked if it should be in Campo somewhere.  I haven't called him back yet. My problem is I promised Mike I would have no services, or memorials of any kind, it is written in his will that I signed, plus he had me verbally promise a lot.  My question is, is one of you willing to take this on with David?  Should it be at the Community Center or somewhere in town like at the Environmental Working Group via the San Diego Foundation or what?  I think Diane Jacob would come.  If one of you would be willing to handle this, David's home number is 619-334-5533, his work phone is 858-277-6780, cell is 977-5599, and e-mail is david.preddy@cubic.com.
